About Mackenzie Miller
I’m a parent, a Navy veteran, and a working-family advocate who believes public service should be rooted in integrity, accountability, and showing up for the people you represent.
My service in the U.S. Navy taught me the value of teamwork, responsibility, and getting a job done effectively. I believe leadership isn’t about titles or politics, but about listening, being prepared, and taking responsibility for the outcomes of your decisions. Leadership is as much of a verb as it is a noun.
As a parent, I experience firsthand how hard it has become for working families to keep up. Too many Utahns are juggling multiple jobs while facing rising housing costs, expensive childcare, and a general cost of living that keeps climbing. When county leaders abruptly closed childcare centers and other services families were utilizing without transparency or collaboration, I stood up alongside families and advocates because those decisions don’t happen in a vacuum — they affect real people, real jobs, and real kids.
That experience reinforced why I’m running for State Senate. Too often, decisions are made by people who feel disconnected from the realities that families face every day. I believe we can do better by listening to data, working through our differences, and focusing on solutions that actually work.
I’m running to be an accessible, hardworking representative who shows up, listens, and works with others to deliver results for District 11 and all of Utah. I believe that being a public servant means just that; I am here to serve the public with honor, integrity, and transparency. Utahn families deserve leaders who respect their time, their careers, their families and their futures — and that’s the kind of leadership I’m committed to bringing to the Legislature.
